Puneet Gulati is a multifaceted creative force — an actor, filmmaker (writer, producer, director), recording artist, host, and poet — whose work reflects a deep commitment to storytelling, community, and cultural dialogue.
Based in Melbourne, Puneet made his directorial debut with Café Choice (2019), a short film that resonated with audiences worldwide and earned the Audience Choice Award at the Cortos Cos International Film Festival in Madrid. His earlier collaborations as a producer and co-director on music singles released by T-Series and Times Now (2017–2018) further established his reputation as a dynamic creative voice.
In addition to screen and music projects, Puneet contributes to the development of new theatre productions with The Lab Theatre in St Kilda, and works closely with Mind Blowing Films on innovative youth and community storytelling initiatives. He continues to develop new short film concepts designed for digital and social media audiences.
Beyond filmmaking, Puneet is a celebrated event host, known for his charismatic presence at major cultural events such as the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM), where he has hosted the Red Carpet and Dance Competition since 2015, addressing audiences of thousands at Federation Square. In 2022, he appeared on Channel 10’s trailblazing reality show “Hunted” (Season 1).
Recognised with the Meritorious Service Medal from the Government of Victoria for his advocacy against bullying and harassment in ethnic communities, Puneet continues to use his creative platforms to inspire awareness, empathy, and connection through the power of storytelling.
